Stéphane Derenoncourt's right-hand man, Simon Blanchard didn't wait long to assert his talent. A native of the Loire wine-growing region, his recent acquisition of a pocket-sized vineyard (1.36 ha) on a beautiful Right Bank terroir in Montagne Saint-Émilion is a noble endorsement of the winemaking profession. From fifty-year-old vines, he makes uncompromising wines, focused on quality and pleasure.
