Winemaker
Jane Eyre, who is Australian, discovered Pinot Noir while working for a wine merchant in Melbourne. After studying oenology and travelling extensively, she settled in Beaune. She trained with the great Burgundy estates before founding Maison Jane Eyre in 2011, thanks in part to purchases of grapes in Savigny-lès-Beaune. The wines are fine, elegant and rather modern in style, without excessive use of wood. They can be opened quite quickly.
