As a brand under the American Hilton umbrella, Canopy aims to appeal to a young, nomadic generation with properties that are deeply rooted in the culture of each city or country. This Parisian location, which opened in 2021 and is housed in a former power station dating back to 1932, is a resounding success. Architect Jean-Philippe Nuel preserved all the building’s original features, drawing inspiration from the architecture of Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand. The lobby, bathed in light from a magnificent skylight, features a bar and lounge adorned with Art Deco-style vases. Each of the 123 rooms and suites—all unique and finished in light wood—is warmed by Mondrian-inspired rugs and complemented by beautiful bathrooms. The same local spirit infuses the two restaurants led by Executive Chef Rémy Ribeaucourt, who celebrates Île-de-France produce and sustainable cuisine at L’Esprit Nouveau. The rooftop offers the same regional focus but in a more relaxed atmosphere at Eylau Paris, with its large umbrellas, ultra-comfortable sofas, and a magical view of the Eiffel Tower and the Seine.
