Gault&Millau's review 2025

The first 5-star hotel in Issy-les-Moulineaux, this Accor Group property is located on the site of a former royal estate—once a retreat for the priests of Saint-Sulpice—whose historic buildings and gardens, complete with orchards and vegetable gardens, have been preserved. It’s the perfect setting for this retreat designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte, who has transformed the historic building to house the gourmet restaurant Le Marguerite 1606 and arranged the 83 rooms and suites—featuring understated, refined decor—in a more contemporary annex, all offering splendid views of the Eiffel Tower. Designed for both business and leisure stays, the property features conference rooms, a 300 m² spa —Le Refuge de Margot—with a pool, beautiful terraces for sipping a drink before dinner, and, not to be overlooked, the Monastic Bar, a speakeasy housed in the former deconsecrated chapel, dedicated to the tasting of aged rums from around the world.
