One of Paris’s most sought-after hotspots, conceived in the 2000s by graffiti artist André and Thierry Costes, one of the heirs to the family that reigns supreme over the capital’s cafés and restaurants. The duo spotted an abandoned hotel near Rue des Martyrs and decided to renovate it with the goal of turning it into a one-of-a-kind venue. It was a success: this cheerful, creative hotel features 28 rooms decorated by collaborating artists (Jean Julien, Alexandre de Betak, Piet Parra…) and a restaurant that’s always bustling, from breakfast until (very) late at night. It’s an incredibly cozy spot, filled with furniture and decorative items collected over the years, where guests can enjoy brasserie-style cuisine against the backdrop of the garden’s tall trees, which extend into a charming patio.
