After the Grand Pigalle Hotel, the Experimental Group chose the Grands Boulevards to open its second Parisian location in 2018, establishing this 4-star hotel in a beautiful 18th-century townhouse. The group’s go-to interior designer, Dorothée Meilichzon, drew inspiration from the building’s history to decorate the 50 rooms and suites in a cleverly reimagined Marie-Antoinette style: four-poster beds and red marble, offering the best in contemporary comfort. The restaurant is situated beneath a splendid glass roof—with a retractable roof for summer—and offers Franco-Italian cuisine created by Chef Giovanni Passerini: fried pizza with smoked bacon and stracciatella, gnudi with peas, fava beans, and artichokes, ravioli with taleggio, leeks, and lemon… All of this draws in Parisians, as do the two cocktail bars: The Shell (on the ground floor, with an 18th-century vibe and “low & regular” cocktails) and The Shed, on a delightful rooftop terrace.
