Within the walls of the former Théâtre des Mille Colonnes in Montparnasse, built in the early 19th century, the 4-star boutique hotel Le Magnifique reopened in the summer of 2026 after eight months of renovation. A glass elevator adorned with mermaids leads to five distinct worlds—Garden of Eden, Atlantis, Milky Way, Utopian City, or Artists’ Paradise—each reflected in 62 rooms featuring custom-made furniture, unique lighting fixtures, and colorful ceramic tiles, all designed by Vincent Darré. The theatrical atmosphere continues at Le Picabia bar, a tribute to the Parisian avant-garde, where a bell signals the start and end of intermissions at neighboring theaters. In the basement, a spa with graphic décor featuring a mythological fresco combines a hammam, whirlpool baths, and a heated pool.
