This building is a piece of the neighborhood’s history, built in 1929 as the Hôtel Charleston and a favorite retreat of Josephine Baker. Situated at the foot of Sacré-Cœur and part of the Orso group, the venue has preserved its Belle Époque style intact, revitalized by the architectural duo Festen, who have adorned the brasserie-style restaurant with white tablecloths and long red benches. Spread across eight floors, the 105 rooms and suites embody the same spirit—alabaster sconces, ceramic tiles in the bathrooms, warm tones (bronze, tobacco, sunflower yellow), and, in some, fantastic views of the basilica.
