In Bassins à Flots, an industrial district in the north of Bordeaux that has been converted into a creative hub since the city was declared a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2007, the Radisson Blu's glass-and-metal silhouette, designed by King Kong Architects, deliberately evokes the hulls of the ships that passed through here. The hotel, with 125 rooms of sleek Scandinavian design, boasts a rooftop with suspended swimming pool facing the Cité du Vin - the cultural facility inaugurated in 2016 that has accelerated the transformation of the district. The Le Wellman restaurant is run by chef Grégory Chevalier, whose cuisine draws on producers from the South-West. The 450 m² spa offers a soothing counterpoint to the hustle and bustle of the area.
