Presentation

The youngest of a family entirely dedicated to the restaurant business, Joy-Astrid Poinsot never considered any path other than the one laid out by her parents, who took over Chez Camille in the early 1980s. A graduate of the Institut Paul Bocuse (now the Institut Lyfe) and a standout contestant on Season 7 of Top Chef, she took over Le Terminus in Arnay-le-Duc at just 22 years old. It was an enriching four-year experience, followed by the sale of the restaurant and a season spent working alongside her parents. It was also during this time that she won the World Championship for “œuf en meurette” in 2022.

Opening on the Day of the New Lockdown

Together with Alexis, whom she met in Paris and who is passionate about pâté-croûte, the couple launched a private chef business. But when the buyers of the family restaurant went bankrupt in 2019, they didn’t hesitate to take up the torch. “We reopened on the very day the lockdown was reimposed, in October 2020. A painful memory. ” Working together on the menus, with both fully in charge, Joy-Astrid and Alexis Blanchard quickly got the historic restaurant back on track, thanks in large part to the excellent value offered by their “Camille” menu, priced at €39. Every Thursday, Chez Camille also serves “œufs en meurette,” the dish that earned Joy-Astrid the title of world champion…
