The Vieux Comptoir has really spruced itself up, with its bright yellow awning, laid-back vibe, and little sidewalk terrace. The menu is crowd-pleasing, carefully curated to bring people together with well-executed takes on popular classics: pâté en croûte, pan-seared razor clams with garlic and chili, beef bourguignon, ham-and-truffle coquillettes, skirt steak with chimichurri and mashed potatoes… And the array of desserts that go perfectly with them: baba, pavlova, rice pudding, Paris-Brest…
