In the heart of Sauternes, this village inn doesn’t set out to impress, but rather to welcome guests. As soon as you walk in, your gaze is drawn to the large fireplace where grilled meats sizzle over vine shoots, while the dining room buzzes with the rhythm of regulars who seem right at home here. You quickly realize that people come here just as much for the food as for this warm, unpretentious atmosphere. The menu seamlessly blends a few seasonal dishes with hearty grilled specialties: scrambled eggs with porcini mushrooms, foie gras patties, pork pluma cooked over the fireplace, grilled duck breast, and a fine selection of entrecôte and beef ribs. The cooking is masterful, the portions generous, and the overall experience embodies simple, honest, and indulgent cuisine. The wine cellar, with a strong focus on Sauternes and Graves wines, naturally extends the dining experience. A warm and welcoming spot, true to its identity, where guests come as much for the atmosphere as for the pleasure of good food. Set menus at €35, €45, and €65.
