The location is worth its weight in gold, at the entrance to Avenue des Ternes, as is the establishment’s long-standing reputation. A quintessential example of what a Parisian brasserie is all about, with its strictly observed traditions, its seasoned staff that immerses you in the capital’s atmosphere, and its extensive, impressive menu—seafood and oysters (Dupuch, Gillardeau, Saint-Vaast…), deviled eggs, escargots, gravlax salmon, English-style poached haddock, flank steak with shallots, 5A andouillette, and a dozen classic desserts (crêpes Suzette, crème brûlée, pavlova…). A classic wine merchant’s cellar.
