Remarkable Restaurant
In his own unique and delicious style, Marcel Ravin is undoubtedly in a league of his own: luxury cuisine that blends Caribbean and Mediterranean flavors, with occasional touches of the Indian Ocean or Asia; only on Avenue Princess Grace have we tasted anything like this, and the chef, in full command of his craft, masterfully plays with rare ingredients, spices, fruits, and herbs, sprinkling in here and there a few prestigious ingredients to add to the feast: dictam with moringa, okra, gambero, green papaya, and “curmaïoli”; pink lobster, papaya, massissi, madras, and Colonnata; Mediterranean peach, a compote of pink Menton onions, Creole rice with coconut milk, and shellfish with combawa; spiced grilled lamb, and zucchini flower colombo. For a wonderful introduction, the Solstice menu at €225 is very appealing, and the service—friendly and attentive—goes a long way toward enhancing the experience. There are numerous pairing options, including wine and even non-alcoholic choices.
