A comfortable, well-calibrated experience with no surprises at Lionel's. The plates, sober and legible, are a consensus: roasted eggplant, Provençal-style pulp, orange vinaigrette, pan-fried beef grenailles, galette with generous frangipane. The setting is pleasant and well-maintained, in keeping with the range on offer. The wine and beverage list follows the same logic: broad and consensual, with an emphasis on well-known references. Wines by the glass, few in number and little renewed, fulfill their role as accompaniments but do not constitute a strong identity axis. Service is generally warm and professional.
