On the edge of Martin Luther King Park, at the boundary between the two Batignolles—the historic and the modern—Beatriz Gonzalez also bridges the gap between modernity, travel, and the French cuisine she loves and has mastered. With her hard-working team—whom she can count on every day in this contemporary, chic-cafeteria-style setting—she offers colorful, vibrant, and appealing dishes: multicolored tomatoes and sardines in escabèche, peas with stracciatella, rhubarb, and kalamansi, coffee-glazed cod with asparagus, green beans, apricots, and an orange-carrot sauce, strawberry cream with tea and basil ice cream—all part of a full-course menu for €49 served for lunch and dinner. And don’t forget the generous dishes to share, such as the Txogitxu entrecôte with Béarnaise sauce. A well-curated wine cellar with a balanced price range, and a warm, efficient welcome.
