Thanks to a Cordon Bleu de France father who tested her recipes, Anne-Lyse Johnson immediately found her professional destiny as a chef. She opened Freedom Café, a tribute to freedom regained, on the D-Day landing beaches next to the Normandy Victory Museum, near Isigny-sur-Mer. Camembert pies, quiches with seasonal cheeses and vegetables, galettes, crêpes, gourmet waffles with banana split, generous croque-monsieur sandwiches and an apple and Calvados clafoutis... The chef promotes Normandy's terroir to an international clientele in this pretty commune with a renowned historical heritage. In the dining room, next to the lovely mural and a P-51 (American fighter plane), or on the sunny terrace, you'll feel right at home! Free poker evenings are organized every Thursday night, but parents and children will also find board games to spend a great time. In season, every two weeks, you can enjoy concerts or karaoke. The café is open every day from 9am to 7pm. A place to follow on social networks: Facebook (Freedom café).
