Ideally located in the heart of the village of Argentière, within the Chamonix ski area and on the route of the Tour du Mont-Blanc, the valley's oldest hotel in operation is a delight for skiers, sports enthusiasts and lovers of the great outdoors. Founded in 1865, it reopened its doors in 2024, completely renovated and enlarged by interior designer Gesa Hansen. The new owners were keen to retain the identity of a family-run 3-star establishment with 69 rooms, and to keep prices affordable for sports enthusiasts and hikers, with a wellness area equipped with sauna and hammam, ski lockers and bike storage. The hotel also boasts a restaurant with a breathtaking view of the majestic Mont-Blanc range. At the helm is young chef Maxime Gosse, also a master restaurateur. He trained with Mickey Bourdillat and offers bistronomic cuisine based on fresh, local produce, with mountain specialities and seasonal suggestions
