Gourmet Restaurant
A major change is underway at Eric and Fanny Georget’s restaurant, which they’ve renamed after the famous Japanese barbecue—now the star of the show—featuring select meats such as honey-and-spice-roasted duck breast, aged Normandy ribeye, and Angus flank steak. In addition to the simple lunch menu at €39—not exactly a bargain for such a limited selection—there’s also a menu of a few more elaborate dishes that didn’t impress us as much as in previous seasons: small scallops on brick pastry with shiitake mushrooms and bellota ham, followed by a duo of monkfish and oysters with a slightly runny coconut-turmeric cream sauce, and the modest “double apple” dessert. The chef’s expertise remains, though it’s undoubtedly less prominent today; the wine cellar is small and classic.
