Gault&Millau's review2026
This is one of the finest dining experiences in Brittany, characterized by elegance, fluidity, and attentiveness, all set within a unique, sophisticated, and supremely comfortable setting. Opening onto the Blavet River and the surrounding greenery, the imposing glass roof that covers the dining room offers guests a sense of privacy. As evening gives way to night, the soft lighting creates a gentle atmosphere. The lamps, placed on the beautiful tables, provide just the right amount of light to highlight Yann Maget’s aesthetically pleasing compositions. The menu, though fairly short, promises moments of great intensity. Everything comes together to create dishes without a single misstep: precision in technique, cooking, seasoning, and harmonious pairings… There is nothing pretentious here. Authenticity above all. And so the caviar doesn’t hesitate to dance a pas de deux with the sardine, while the admirable pigeon offers the chance to elevate and lighten—or perhaps subvert—the iconic “kig-ha-farz” from northern Finistère. The pork plays a little trick of its own by pairing beautifully with a plump oyster. As for the delicate sole meunière, it is served with peas and smoked leek. We should also mention the quality of the appetizers, the bread, the butter… not to mention, of course, that moment of pure joy when it’s time for desserts and petits fours. A superb wine and spirits list, presented with passion.
