Remarkable Restaurant
After Edouard Chouteau, Guillaume Thuin—whom we knew from La Table des Jardins—took the reins. While this lovely restaurant remains a favorite among Lille residents—who know the way there by heart as soon as they cross the Deûle River and its canal—the menu today takes a fairly conservative approach, focusing on high-quality ingredients that maintain its three-toque rating in this beautiful setting opening onto a lush garden: lobster salad, veal sweetbreads with gribiche sauce, sole meunière, and veal chop with potato espuma. Paired with cheeses from Philippe Olivier and the strawberry tart with lemon-basil sorbet, it’s a delightful experience without a single misstep, complemented by a wine cellar that remains well-stocked with selections from the great wine regions.
