Description
Originally from Normandy, Gwenaëlle and Yohann Colombel fell in love with this spot between Carentan and Sainte-Mère-Église, which seemed the ideal place to start their first adventure as restaurateurs. In a zen and relaxing atmosphere of sage and ecru tones, dotted with foliage, they magnify the seasons by regularly renewing their slate and menu of homemade specialties from the local terroir. On the menu is the Alauna, a succulent buckwheat galette featuring the emblematic Vire andouille sausage, Neufchâtel cream (a nod to their origins), onion compote with cider, potatoes and apples, as well as a magnificent deconstructed lemon tart (traditional ingredients shaped with a different aspect) that is a gourmet favorite. As soon as the first rays of sunshine appear, the shady, flower-filled terrace overlooking the enclosed courtyard offers a calm, intimate setting, with games to keep the children occupied. A place to follow on social networks: Facebook (@La Table d'Alauna) and Instagram (@la.table.dalauna).
