Gault&Millau's review2026
An elegant XIXᵉ mansion recently restored, Château Brachet offers luxurious rooms and two restaurants. The gastro occupies the château's main dining room, which ends in a veranda offering views over the park and its magnificent flower beds. Chef Mickaël Furnion, who has worked with such greats as Christian Têtedoie and Julien Gatillon, was seduced by the gastronomic environment and set himself the goal of highlighting local produce. Mission accomplished, since all the dishes are presented using the plant that will perfume the juices or give a little extra soul to the various preparations: for example, spruce associated with "bouillabaisse des lacs" and confit potatoes, or saffron accompanying Mont-Blanc, chestnuts and citrus fruits from Provence. The cooking is perfect and the flavors subtle, with a beautiful way of appropriating the terroir. The service team is smiling and efficient, and the sommelier will guide you between classic bottles and small producers.
