Gault&Millau's review2026
In the "upscale bistro" category, I recommend 703, a distinguished restaurant on a quiet street near Avenue Niel. Regulars appreciate the comfort and warm welcome, the tables—a bit close together but neatly set—and a menu that’s always spot-on, featuring simple, traditional fare: pâté en croûte, escargots, veal sweetbread terrine, blood sausage with mashed potatoes, beef cheek pot-au-feu, beer-soaked French toast, and, made to order, the free-range chicken baeckoffe, the house specialty. Added to this are the many daily specials that delight regulars (bouchée à la reine, lamb shanks in curry the other day).
