Gourmet Restaurant
It is one of the most legendary restaurants on the Côte Fleurie, one of several places that embody the world of Proust, who spent so much time here in Cabourg. Preserved almost entirely in its original style, the Grand Hôtel and its restaurant transport us back to the Belle Époque, blending Norman, Second Empire, and Art Nouveau styles. To curate the menu, the establishment has entrusted Le Balbec to Romaric Catherine, who offers cuisine featuring premium ingredients and impeccable execution. On the menu: open ravioli with peas, mint, and smoked ricotta; lobster with texturized carrots and roasted cherries, almond milk emulsion; a Normandy beef tenderloin with artichokes, fava beans, pak choi, and a full-bodied beef jus. To finish, Julien Alaniece’s creative desserts, such as the peach and jasmine dessert or the citron, sheep’s milk cheese, and lime creation.
