On the menu at this Bosquet—formerly the Pied de Fouet, well known to tourists for its low prices—you can sense 21st-century influences, with dishes like marinated octopus and tuna steak with leek cream. Nevertheless, both the setting and the hospitality do just enough to evoke the timeless Parisian atmosphere, and the bill makes for a hassle-free stroll through Saint-Germain: the poached egg with oyster mushroom cream, the Angus steak with prune sauce and steamed potatoes, and the pear-chocolate tart bring the total to €31.90. A wide-ranging menu complements these daily specials.
