This is the lively, modern restaurant where you need to take a seat to truly experience Avranches life. A warm, smiling welcome (provided by Grégory Colombier and Claire Chapdelaine, the niece of Marie-Agnès Nivard, a true local icon who founded Le Littré in the late 1970s), a wonderful energy, even in the dishes created by Mathieu and Amanda Blondel (he handles the hot dishes, she does the pastries): mussel cream with grilled chorizo and shrimp oil mayo, “pulled beef” (instead of pork), potatoes with snow peas and green peas in a reduced sauce, and a Black Forest cake—all part of a €25 lunch menu that changes weekly.
