Located across from the Halles de Tours, Le Mastroquet carries on the spirit of a long-established family-run restaurant in the Tours area. Christelle Peynot champions traditional home-style cuisine, blending French classics with subtle Italian influences, while the dining room is managed in a warm, artisanal spirit. On the plate, the seasoning is generally spot-on, but the presentation and food pairings fall somewhat short of current expectations. A decent selection of Loire Valley wines.
