Located near the market of the same name, this unassuming little spot with an almost nondescript facade is, in fact, a wonderful fusion restaurant, serving sophisticated and creative dishes. It’s a modern restaurant that knows how to highlight regional specialties, from Cantabrian anchovy fillets in oil, chilled sorrel gazpacho, a “little boat” of tomato in ume jelly, and fromage blanc granita, to a Breton monkfish pan-seared in butter, langoustine bisque, Castel Franco, lemongrass oil, and kombu; a rack of roasted suckling pig with mashed potatoes, sautéed spinach, turnips with a robust sauce, lychees as mousse and granita, grapefruit supremes and jelly, and a crispy tuile.
