This cuvée, which tops the Abelé range, is the result of a maceration of pinot noir from the village of Les Riceys. The nose opens with a panel of lychee, candied orange, dried rose and green almond. On the palate, the wine is opulent and digestible, with pure, tapering acidity. An intense, distinguished bubble further aerates the texture and produces the effect of elegance. Enjoy with pigeon in cherry juice, blackcurrant powder and rose condiment.

Abelé 1757

Since its founding in the mid-18th century, the fifth-oldest Champagne house has remained true to its founders’ vision and continues to uphold the same philosophy: crafting exceptional, bespoke wines with a long aging potential. The house draws on a multitude of plots from Champagne’s finest terroirs for its blends. A true work of artistry, all Abelé 1757 cuvées are meticulously crafted by cellar master Étienne Eteneau in very limited quantities. The bottles are stored away from light in century-old chalk cellars on Rue de Sillery in Reims.
