This pure meunier is all richness and roundness on the nose, with aromas of ripe yellow peach, apricot and mirabelle plum. Sweet spices and a creamy sensation further enrich the bouquet. The mood changes on the palate, with tension between lemony and chalky notes. The finish rounds out this sensation.

Alain David

This family-run winery is located in Boursault, a small wine-growing village in the Marne Valley. Winegrowers for four generations, they have been producing their own champagnes since 2013 and are HVE3-certified. Benoit David, the current manager, cultivates 4.35 hectares of vineyards, slightly more than half of which are planted with Meunier. The consistency of their champagnes stems from the expression of their house style (grass cover, sustainable pest management, and plot-by-plot harvesting). For extended visits, the winemakers also offer lodging in their guesthouse, “Bienvenue dans notre vendangeoir.”
