And what a revelation it is: the old gold color is superb. The nose, toasty and rooty, opens onto a palate where the wine's fatness meets the finesse of its tension. Another top bottle to open with friends.

Based in Bouzy, Benoît Lahaye, his sons (who have now joined him) and his wife produce wines of superb quality and consistency, using biodynamic methods for their 4.5 ha of vineyards and working the soil with draught horses. Very gastronomic, the champagnes combine finesse, presence and expressiveness. There's nothing predefined here, except the search for the best: dosage, cellaring time and blends are rethought every year. Benoît was elected Winemaker of the Year by our committee in 2021.
