Winery presentation by Gault&Millau

Located in the heart of the Côte des Bars and built by the Marquis de Dampierre in the 18th century, Château de Bligny is the only Champagne producer to bear the “château” designation as a récoltant-manipulant. The estate boasts an exceptional historical, architectural, and winemaking heritage. A unique property in Champagne, it features 30 hectares of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay spread across eight plots that surround the estate. In 2004, the Rapeneau family, owners since 1999, decided to create a “Clos,” planted with a mix of the seven grape varieties authorized in Champagne.
