Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
Not far from Nîmes, in the heart of a Natura 2000 protected natural area, the Château de Nages vineyard—located in the Costières-de-Nîmes appellation—belongs to the Gassier family, who also manage the estate of the same name. On these terroirs, composed mainly of rounded pebbles, Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne, and Viognier grow alongside Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault. This mosaic of grape varieties gives rise to a range comprising “Plaisirs” and “Liberty et Gourmandi” wines, classified as Vin de France; fresh and indulgent “ButiNages” wines; a zero-dosage sparkling wine, “Héritage” wines from old vines, and “Vox” wines from plots situated on the remains of a Gallo-Roman vineyard.
