Vendange Égrappée, a hillside wine from a reputedly warm 2018 harvest. It opens with a powerful nose of red fruits and a hint of chocolate. The palate is perfectly velvety and round. Of course, there's a very slight sensation of heat, but it's accompanied by such silkiness that you'd dream of a nice rare rib-eye to accompany it.

Coessens
The sixth generation of winegrowers on the Côte des Bar, Jérôme Coessens decided in 2006 to launch his own brand. The vineyard extends over a single plot of clay-limestone soil called Largillier, planted exclusively with Pinot Noir. Jérôme and his wife produce six cuvées, exploiting the differences in soil types within the plot. This unique terroir research is a must to discover, and its first admirer is none other than Guillaume Selosse. The estate has been certified organic since 2021. A new cuvée is due to arrive in 2025, Pinotmaniac, from its Les Riceys vineyard.
