Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
Established for three generations in southern Champagne, the Cottanceau-Prignitz estate cultivates 7.5 hectares spread across 10 plots in the heart of the Côte des Bar. The vineyards, predominantly planted with Pinot Noir, are rooted in the clay-limestone soils of the Kimmeridgian period and are cultivated using sustainable practices certified at HVE Level 3 and VDC. The family cultivates the appellation’s two iconic grape varieties—Meunier and Chardonnay—which are essential for high-quality blends. To enhance the experience, they also offer cellar tours and a cozy guesthouse in the heart of the estate.
