The house's prestige cuvee, this 2012 is a blend of half Chardonnay and half Pinot Noir. The nose is superb. It perfectly combines the freshness of chardonnay and the unctuousness of pinot. Notes of flowers, fresh, candied citrus and white fruit follow in delicious succession. The palate is silky, full-bodied and taut. Enjoy with noble fish, such as a thick slice of turbot, or cellar for a few more years.

This family-run estate, founded in 1862 and divided into 26 parcels on the Côte des Bar, cultivates its vines in compliance with sustainable viticulture specifications (Terra Vitis certification). The Kimmeridgian subsoil, like a millefeuille of chalk and clay, provides a particularly favorable base for vines, especially Pinot Noir, the dominant grape variety in the region and on the estate. Cuvées are aged on laths for between four and ten years before being released on the market. The winery is very welcoming and offers a commented tasting of all the wines in the range, which is rare. Don't miss the tasting in the cellar, especially as the wines are all very successful, expressive and vibrant.
