The nose is rather reduced, as if corseted, while the palate is much more expressive. Chatty even, with notes of English candy, strawberry soup and red berries, carried by sparkling bubbles. The finish, strongly marked by aromas of old rose, is delicate and quite astonishing. A very pretty wine that will easily find its audience.

Gérard Loriot

Coming from a family of winemakers spanning four generations, the Loriots have been cultivating vineyards for over two centuries and have been producing their own champagnes since 1920. Maryse, Gérard, and their son Florent cultivate just under 10 hectares, spread across more than 52 plots in the Marne Valley in the villages of Mesnil-le-Huttier, Leuvrigny, and Festigny. Here, Meunier takes center stage; it is the valley’s dominant grape variety and accounts for more than 80% of the estate’s vineyard plantings. The champagnes are aged for 3 to 4 years in the cellar before being released. Tours and tastings are available by appointment.
