Its brilliant old gold color reveals an effervescence of fine bubbles. The nose is rich, marked by candied white fruits punctuated by brioche and yeasty notes that attest to its barrel-ageing. On the palate, the wine has great depth and freshness. The well-integrated dosage skillfully asserts a mocha-like creaminess. At the table, it's the ideal companion for poached poularde with morel mushrooms in a creamy sauce.

Heucq Père et Fils

The champagne tradition has been handed down in the Heucq family for three generations. Today, Alexandre Heucq is at the helm of the 6-hectare estate, located in the heart of the Marne Valley vineyards at Cuisles. Pinot meuniers particularly thrive on this specific green clay terroir. The vines are worked biodynamically, and the wines are aged in barrels. In organic conversion since 2014, the first organic-labeled cuvées should be on sale in 2018.
