A 100% Chardonnay from 70% of the 2014 harvest and 30% of the 2013 vintage. On the nose, we perceive that the wine has mellowed, evolving on notes of undergrowth and marc. On the palate, with its creamy, dense mousse, it offers a bouquet of fruity flavors punctuated by a bitterness that should be tamed with an old-fashioned veal blanquette.

Jean-Michel Pelletier

Jean-Michel Pelletier is at the head of this small family estate of 4.8 hectares. He is also a trained oenologist and responsible for the blending process in the Passy-Grigny wine cooperative where the grapes are vinified. The vines are located in the “Vallée de la Marne Rive Droite” terroir, more specifically in the villages of Passy-Grigny, Saint-Gemme and Verneuil. They are mainly planted on clay-limestone soils, with this marly tendency that is ideal for Pinot Meunier, the predominant grape variety in the blends.
