Mailly has always been good, even very good, and this vintage, already tasted last year, bears witness to this. It's chalky, salty, greedy, and always full-bodied and generous, without any heaviness. The cuvée verges on power. The honeyed, spicy aroma contributes to this, but the freshness and fine bitterness bring a very fine balance. Perfect with lobster, for example.

Mailly Grand Cru
This cooperative, founded in 1929, is unique in that it only accepts grapes from the Mailly grand cru (where the chardonnays pinot and the pinots chardonnent), in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, from some 70 ha. All cuvées are grand cru. The champagnes are generally full-bodied and dense, with excellent definition of fruit. Undoubtedly the best cooperative winery in the region, it is committed to an interesting parcel-based approach, with some 35 lieux-dits. On-site tastings are available.
