The nose seems a little tight today (March 2020), but will undoubtedly open up over the coming months. On the palate, the wine is, as usual with this cuvée, vibrant, full-bodied, generous and beautifully taut. We look forward to tasting it again in a few months' time.

Marguet
The fifth generation of winegrowers is now at the helm of Maison Marguet in Ambonnay, in the person of Benoît, who practises biodynamic viticulture. The family vineyards (7.3 ha in Ambonnay and 0.7 ha in Bouzy) are in production, as are those of certified organic partner winemakers based in Cumières, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Cramant. Working the soil with a draught horse, and using indigenous yeasts in part of the vinification process, the vineyard has made a conscious commitment to biodynamic viticulture. The wines are grandiose and deserve the attention of wine-lovers.
