Recently tasted, no doubt for the purposes of this guide, this cuvée has a freshly clear, very youthful color. The nose, extremely delicate, with aromas of toasted coffee, fresh grapes, then raisins and flowers, seems to be only 5 years old, so fresh and dashing is it. It changes and evolves with each turn of the glass. On the palate, the wine is all delicacy and finesse, with fresh notes of toast and verbena. The finish relaunches some fine Champagne bitters with immense length. A surprisingly fresh wine, set to evolve for another 30 years. To be enjoyed with noble products, such as lobster or scallops.

Long absent from our guide, Marie-Noëlle Ledru has kindly responded to our request and is once again taking part in our selection. This winemaker has nothing left to prove when it comes to winemaking practices: accompanying the vines, caring for them, letting them express themselves, favoring personal and direct contact between vine and wine, while preserving manual labor. Supply can't keep up with demand, and Marie-Noëlle is forced to limit her sales to former customers, especially as she prepares to retire. The wines have an extraordinary personality, sharp, frank and sometimes austere in their youth. But what a breed and what an expression of Pinot! A must-taste.
