Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
The Bara family settled in Bouzy in 1833. Following a marriage, they acquired a few hectares of vineyards in 1836, and the winery was founded in 1860. It wasn’t until the 1950s that Paul Bara began marketing his own wines under his name. Today, the estate owns 11 hectares of vineyards, mostly planted with Pinot Noir. Chantale, Paul’s daughter, serves as president alongside Stéphanie Ducloux, who has been the director since 2021. In the cellar, Grégory Baert will succeed Christian Forget in 2023. The estate welcomes visitors by appointment Monday through Friday.
