This suave 2016 from a 24-acre Clos owned by the Portier family has an almost translucent lemon-yellow color. The delicious, airy nose nourishes an olfaction of candied citrus fruits, licorice, molasses and fresh quince. Different from the 2015, it offers an unctuous, chalky palate of fresh citrus fruits with a hint of pomade on a long, long finish. Champagne for a meal with poularde de Houdan au citron jaune.

This family estate covers 3 hectares and gathers the vines of the Portier and Malot families. The brand is made up of the names of the grandfathers: Paul and Sadi. Jérôme Portier is in charge of the estate. The Pinots Noirs are from Verzy and Beaumont (classified Grands Crus) and the Chardonnays come from the beautiful terroir of Villers-Marmery. The estate also has a small 24-hectare clos called Clos Virgile. In the cellar, depending on the vintage, the aging takes place in stainless steel vats, barrels or casks.
