This wine offers a discreet nose with notes of nectarine, pear, melon, gunflint and citrus fruit. On the palate, it's creamy and refined, with a fine, taut attack that energizes the whole. The presence of bubbles enlivens the tasting of this light-bodied wine. The delicate finish is reminiscent of hazelnut, almond and citrus, with a hint of bitters. A well-crafted, accessible champagne that glides along like a silk vest.

This former family winegrower's house is rooted in the Côte des Bar region, solely on the Ource hillsides. Richard Cheurlin farms 7 hectares, two-thirds of which are planted with Pinot Noir, the rest with Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, on a terroir of predominantly clay-limestone and white marl. No herbicides are used, the soil is cultivated with clawing, buttage and grass management, depending on the plot. He also favors prophylactic control, with severe disbudding, and uses plant-based preparations and essential oils to stimulate the vines. Each vintage represents the selection of a parcel corresponding to a specific terroir.
