This cuvée, a blend of six grape varieties, is rich and opulent from the very first whiff. A jumble of aromas combining sourdough bread, yellow fruit, toasted almond, elderflower and an almost subliminal trace of petrol. This ripeness is reflected in a fresh, well-balanced body, with juicy white fruit enhanced by hints of lemon and bergamot. The finish is tonic, with an invigorating sensation of quinine. An ample, full-bodied, generous wine that deserves to be paired with poultry in cream sauce or pike-perch in beurre blanc.

Coming from a family of winemakers that has passed the craft down from father to son for five generations, Roger Barnier was the first to begin producing his own vintages, thus becoming a "récoltant-manipulant" in Villevenard. Today, his grandson, Frédéric Berthelot, has taken over the family estate and carries on the estate’s tradition. Passionate about cooking, he is evolving the lineup toward champagnes designed for fine dining and creating single-vineyard cuvées. The estate owns 8 hectares of vineyards spread across more than 40 parcels and is certified in sustainable viticulture.
