Description

Bakery Epicureans with a passion for patisserie, Vanessa Loosveldt and Arnaud Fauqueur have taken over this old 1880 boutique, next to the Panthéon, to turn it into a benchmark for French-style craftsmanship with exceptional know-how, using quality ingredients sourced locally. Coached to start this adventure by top pastry chef Sébastien Dégardin, they aim to perpetuate the recipes that have made the house's reputation, with top-of-the-range sweet and savoury pastries. Tourte, pâté en croûte, quiche, Paris-Brest, Saint-Honoré, éclairs, but also a revisited raisin bread, a crisp, caramelized apple turnover, special breads made with ancient flours including the sublime fig-hazelnut-apricot... Everything is homemade according to the rules of French culinary art. Very good cakes, just like our childhood memories, with the sweet smell and emotionally rich flavors our taste buds recognize. A lovely place to pay homage to Parisian tradition. An establishment to follow on social networks: Instagram (@lamaisonlouis).
