Bakery Just as the “Estran”—the part of the beach that is covered and uncovered by the tide—Margaux Tyson and Lucas Prieur-Housset have drawn inspiration from this maritime theme all the way to their delicious desserts with the evocative names Nacre, Mistral, Récif, Sillage… From their dream of opening a shop together in their home region, this bakery and pastry shop near the harbor and the beach was born. Their creations follow the seasons and draw inspiration from the local terroir: a limited selection for optimal quality. In the spring, strawberry tarts or rhubarb tarts with Sichuan pepper grown in the Cotentin region; in the winter, chestnut and mandarin tarts; turnovers filled with whole apples, lemon, or French hazelnuts; and creamy flan… Margaux and Lucas make only specialty breads, using organic flour whenever possible (meaning no additives or preservatives), such as the traditional sourdough baguette, bread made with organic stone-ground semi-whole wheat flour—available as a whole loaf or by weight— fruit bread, and other varieties that can be customized with stencils to make your events extra festive.
