Nature and history lovers, this place is for you! Imagine a 40-hectare park with a castle built in the early 17th century on the ruins of a medieval fortress, still surrounded by its moat of rushing water. Transformed into a family home by Guy de Cordon and his wife, Estrella—who inherited it in 2001—the site underwent many years of restoration before regaining its former splendor: Seventeen sumptuous rooms and suites are now spread between the castle (9 rooms) and the Maison d’Artagnan (5 rooms), adorned with period draperies and furnishings that contrast with the more contemporary comfort of the bathrooms—restored antique cast-iron bathtubs, walk-in showers. The same blend of styles guided the renovation of the Maison de la Source, which adjoins the moat, as well as the Pavillon, with its living room and bedroom accessible via the historic horseshoe-shaped staircase. It’s the perfect place to experience life in a château, savoring the delights of the restaurant Les Maisons de Campagne, housed in the estate’s former stables, or breakfasts served in the spectacular Hercule Salon with its Flemish tapestries, or, as soon as the warm weather arrives, on the terrace overlooking the estate’s French garden.
